Your travel advisor

Hi, I am Darcy.

I’ve come nose to nose with a giraffe during an African safari. I’ve strolled along the ancient pathways of Machu Picchu and walked along the Great Wall of China. I’ve honeymooned in the Australian outback.

Because of my supplier partnerships, many trips come with amenities you won’t get booking alone: onboard credit, a complimentary night, activity credit once you’re onboard. I build them into your trip from the start.

I have been in travel full time since 1996, and I founded Travel by Darcy LLC in 2008. I am a certified specialist with Regent Seven Seas, Explora Journeys, Viking, Oceania and Azamara, and Tauck is my most-booked land supplier.

Questions

Does using a travel advisor cost more?

No, not on the trips most people book through me. There is no planning fee on luxury cruises, guided tours, or hotel stays of seven nights or longer, and my commission is already built into the price you would pay anyway. You’ll pay the same, or even less, than booking directly with the tour company or cruise line.

Is there a planning fee?

Only on a custom itinerary that includes airfare, ground transportation, curated sightseeing or multiple destinations. That fee starts at $300, and I tell you the exact number before any work begins. It is never a surprise.

Why not book directly on the cruise line’s website?

You can, and the five lines I sell look alike online. They are not alike onboard. I am certified in all five, I have sailed several of them myself, and I match you to the ship and suite that actually fits how you travel, then I add the amenities and onboard credit that come with booking through me.

We are not sure where we want to go yet.

That is normal. Pick the trip closest to what you have been picturing, or choose the custom option and tell me a little about it. I build every itinerary around your dates.

How fast will I hear back?

A first look at the trip you picked lands in your inbox in about a minute. I call within one business day to build the real itinerary.

Are the prices exact?

The prices shown are each supplier’s own starting rate, based on current availability and subject to change until a deposit is made. I confirm the real number for your dates before you commit to anything.
